Tips to Staying Strong at Home

 

DMS strongly promotes self-quarantining during this pandemic, and our team has compiled a few tips for our residents and followers. We hope these help you with staying safe and happy during your self-isolation.

First, and most importantly, studies show that maintaining your regular routine will help you. That being said, we recommend waking up at your usual time, getting dressed, and starting with your day to day tasks in your home.

Are you having a hard time figuring out what to do with your time?

A trick to use is to create a list of tasks you would like to complete. Add items that you've always wanted to learn but never had the time.

An example, Quarantine – To-Do List:

  • Complete spring cleaning
  • Re-organize shoe's
  • Re-organize kitchen cabinets
  • Do Laundry
  • Learn a new language
  • Practice your artistic skills
  • Try a new Recipe
  • Learn how to play an instrument
  • Learn about investing
  • File Taxes
  • Complete home workouts
  • Finish my Book

This will help provide you with some motivation and direction to how your days will go during the quarantine. If you would like any activity ideas, please go to our list of activities that you, your family and friends can enjoy, you can find this here.

Lastly, another important item, is to ensure you're keeping contact with friends and family virtually. Maintaining social contact will help in the process, as it is a hard time for everyone and it is always nice to hear the voices of those we love. Make sure to arrange a virtual hang-out with friends, and have each person grab a drink and snacks, and go on as you would during a regular hang out.
