We are currently seeking a full time Property Financial Analyst to join our team in North York. The indidvidual will report to the Controller Property Accounting and provide support to the Finance and Operations team with a primary focus on preparation and review of property operating budgets and cash flow analysis.

Job Description

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and provide support to the property management team.
  • Prepare property budget templates for review with team members and presentation to clients
  • Evaluate data pertaining to costs to plan budgets
  • Oversee analysis of cash flow including investments in financial instruments.
  • Prepare supporting financial documents, reports and analysis.
  • Prepare forecasts to improve business decisions
  • Review operating financial statements to confirm adequate cash management
  • Assist with coordination of year end audits
  • Develop of long-term cash flow projections
  • Analyze financial statements to improve budgeting, planning and efficiency

Job Specifications

  • Post secondary Diploma or Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • An accounting designation (CPA, CA/CMA) or in the process of obtaining a designation would be an asset
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in financial analysis or accounting
  • Aware of and ability to use Yardi system an asset
  • Understanding of Multi residential and Commercial property management market.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy and strong follow-up skills
  • Strong communication / interpersonal skills (both written and verbal) as the position will involve frequent communication
  • Familiarity with and ability to comprehend financial statements in a real estate context
  • Experience working in a large environment with a complex organizational structure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
  • Adaptable to a changing and fast paced corporate environment managing multiple competing deadlines
  • Able to embrace steep learning curve with an open attitude towards learning

This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary based on experience and qualifications.
